Got a question about your tank, spotted something we got wrong, or want to suggest a guide?
Send it over. We read every message.
What we can help with
- Corrections. If a guide is wrong or out of date, tell us what and we will
fix it. Please include the page title. - Guide requests. If you searched for something and could not find a
straight answer, that is exactly what we want to hear about. - General fishkeeping questions. Include your tank size, how long it has
been running, your latest ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings, and what you are seeing.
Without those numbers any answer is guesswork.
What we cannot help with
We cannot diagnose or prescribe treatment for a sick fish over email, and we will not try.
If a fish is visibly ill, contact a vet who treats fish or a specialist aquatic retailer who can
see the animal. Please see our disclaimer.
We also do not accept guest posts, paid links, or “we noticed a broken link on your page”
outreach. Those messages get deleted unread.
Response times
One person reads and answers everything here, so this is not a 24-hour help desk. Expect a few days. If your tank is
in trouble right now, do not wait for us — test your water, do a partial water change with
dechlorinated water, and stop feeding until the readings come down. Our
water quality guides cover the emergency steps in detail.
